Exterior

Is it safe to wash my car after it’s been treated with NanoCure®?

Yes, we recommend washing your vehicle regularly. Do not allow corrosive materials such as road salt, de-icing chemicals, tree sap, bird droppings, etc. to remain on the painted surfaces for long periods.

Can I take my treated vehicle to a commercial car wash?

Yes, just make sure that it uses soft-touch microfiber brushes that will not scratch the paint when washing or drying your vehicle.

What should I know before I wash my treated vehicle by hand?

Use a good quality car wash soap available at any auto parts store. Do not use dishwashing soap, degreasers, laundry soap or any other types of acidic or caustic cleaners. Use a new sponge, microfiber towel or soft microfiber wash mitt to loosen any dirt or contaminants, then rinse the vehicle thoroughly with tap water. Dry it immediately with a clean microfiber towel or chamois. Do not wash your vehicle in direct sunlight; wash it in a shaded area.

How often do I need to retreat my vehicle exterior?

There is no need to regularly re-apply protectants to your vehicle, as treatments are designed to last the lifetime of your vehicle, except in the case of body damage that resulted in repainting.

Where do I go to reapply vehicle protectant after repainting due to body damage, and how much does it cost?

Reapplication is only necessary when your vehicle has body damage that results in repainting and related restoration. After the recommended paint curing period (30 days), contact your original vehicle dealer to request reapplication. If the dealer is unable to provide this service, contact us at https://nanocureprotectivecoatings.com/contact and we will either ship you reapplication supplies or direct you to a nearby authorized dealer for reapplication at no charge.

Can you apply paint protection film over NanoCure® Exterior Protectants?

You may apply a paint protection film over our NanoCure® exterior protectants without any issues. Our exterior protectants chemically bond to the paint for the lifetime of the vehicle. While we cannot guarantee the adhesion and performance of any manufacturer’s paint protection film, our testing has shown that most good quality paint protection films will bond with the paint on a vehicle that has been treated with NanoCure® exterior protectants, provided the surface has been thoroughly cleaned with isopropyl alcohol before the film is applied.

Will applying a paint protection film over NanoCure® Exterior Protectants affect my NanoCure® warranty?

The application of a paint protection film on top of our exterior protectants does not affect the warranty of our products. However, our NanoCure® warranty does not cover the performance of any manufacturer’s paint protection film.

What is the cure time for NanoCure® Ceramic Graphene?

The cure time for Ceramic Graphene Exterior Protectant is just 30 minutes. For best results, please avoid exposing treated surfaces to harsh chemicals, car washes, sprinklers and tree sap for the first 24 hours as the protectant continues to create an even stronger surface bond.

Do I need to wax my vehicle after it is treated with NanoCure® Exterior Protection?

One of the many benefits of our NanoCure® Exterior Protectant is that you never need to wax your vehicle. Our protectant permanently bonds to your vehicle’s treated surfaces and improves the paint’s natural gloss by 500%.

Can my vehicle exterior be treated with a NanoCure® Exterior Protectant once it has been waxed?

Yes, just apply our product over it following the normal application procedure. Our protectants will solubilize any wax that is on the car and bond with the exterior as though there was nothing on the surface.

Do I need to remove my vehicle’s wax coating before a Ceramic protectant is applied?

There is no need to remove the wax; just apply our product over it following the normal application procedure. Our Ceramic and Ceramic Graphene Exterior Protectants will solubilize any wax that is on the vehicle and bond with the exterior as though there was nothing on the surface.

Do I need to reapply NanoCure® protectant(s) following the replacement of any covered exterior vehicle parts?
